Ivan Drever hails from Orkney and mixes traditional folk with some Rock’n’Roll to produce his unique sound. In 1974, he founded the band Knowe O'Deil, and in 1990 joined the folk rock band Wolfstone. The Wolfstone song Heart & Soul (written by Ivan and band mate Duncan Chisholm) was featured on the soundtrack of the 1997 film Good Will Hunting starring Robin Williams and Matt Damon.
Ivan’s solo albums include Notes from an Island (Attic Records, 2010). His latest album, Bless The Wind (Nutshell Records), was recorded in Easter Ross and released in September 2011. It features former Wolfstone band mate Andy Murray on electric guitar and Paul Eastham (keyboard player with Coast).
Ivan will be performing songs from both albums, his back catalogue, plus as yet unreleased material.
