The Maltings runs and hosts a wide range of workshops and classes, ranging from drama to dance, chess to singing.

Classes are normally held during (English) school term times only (click here to view Northumberland County Council school term and holiday dates).

Everyone is welcome, no experience neccessary. We have fun, we improvise, we create, we perform. With at least one main house production a year we also do street theatre, workshops with visiting companies, musicals, drama and much, much more.

This year 'His Dark Materials' hits the Main Stage in June, bringing together Youth Theatre and junior Youth Theatre in a huge adventure based on the novels of Philip Pullman.

We are currently in rehearsal for His Dark Materials.
