Berwick is a fantastic place to visit...

...with some of the best views in the country, a great selection of independent shops and cafes, and gorgeous coastal walks and cycling routes. If you’d like your visit to include some history, enjoy a walk along the Elizabethan town walls or along the River Tweed to explore the castle ruins. We also have The Lowry Trail, which allows you to follow in the footsteps of highly acclaimed artist L.S. Lowry, who holidayed here for over 40 years.

If you're in need of an indoor attraction in addition to The Maltings try The Barracks Museum, or The Granary and Gymnasium Galleries (run by our very own Berwick Visual Arts) and also the Watchtower Gallery. There’s also the Swan Leisure Centre, perfect for little ones with fun swimming sessions and softplay, and many more activities on offer for the grown ups!

Berwick also hosts an array of festivals and markets through the year. Some highlights being the Riding of the Bounds (May), Berwick Food and Beer Festivals and
Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival (September), and Berwick Rotary Christmas Lights and Market.

If you're interested in sports we have the Berwick Classic Car Rally (May) and Shielfield Park, home to our very own
Berwick Rangers Football Club as well as the Berwick Bandits Speedway.

More information is available at Visit Berwick, or from our Tourist Information Centre at 106 Marygate.
