The Maltings is England's most northerly venue, close to the Scottish border in the centre of historic Berwick-upon-Tweed. Our wide-ranging programme of quality events puts us right at the centre of our community, and we aim to entertain and engage as many people from across the region and beyond as we possibly can.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming destination for the very best in film, comedy, theatre, children's shows, classical concerts, music, opera, dance, and community events through the year - and our in-house professional Panto is a must-see each Christmas. We also host regular dance and music classes as well as an award-winning youth theatre, helping to support and inspire local schoolchildren and young artists.
Since 2012, our Berwick Visual Arts initiative has united visual arts in the town under a single banner to deliver two distinctive gallery programmes, artist residencies, learning events and outreach activities.
