The Death of Stalin

"The Death Of Stalin is superbly cast, and acted with icy and ruthless force by an A-list lineup. There are no weak links. Each has a plum role; each squeezes every gorgeous horrible drop."  - The Guardian 5*  (full review HERE)

BAFTA NOMINEE FOR:
• Outstanding British Film
• Adapted Screenplay

Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, Veep, In The Loop) directs an all-star cast in his hilarious horror-satire, based on the French graphic novel, La mort de Staline.

This black comedy is loosely based on the true story of Joseph Stalins final days and the chaos that erupted after his death. After years under the dictators thumb, the Soviet dignataries that followed him desperately attempt to resolve who will assume leadership of the Soviet Union, turning into a crowd of malignant children, terrified without their leader.
Cast: Rupert Friend, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Steve Buscemi, Jason Isaacs, Jeffrey Tambor
Director: Armando Iannucci
Year: 2017
Country: France | UK
Language: English
Genres: Biography, Comedy, Drama, History

"The Death of Stalin finds director/co-writer Arnando Iannucci in riotous form, bringing his scabrous political humor to bear on a chapter in history with painfully timely parallels."
