Based on the international best-selling 2008 novel of the same name, Mike Newell's adaptation features a charming cast reunion as Downton Abbey stars Lily James, Matthew Goode, Jessica Brown Findlay and the phenomenal Penelope Wilton bring the The New York Times' No. 1 best-seller to life.

1946 in the aftermath of World War II and author and journalist Juliet Ashton can't think of what to write next.

When she receives a letter from Dawsey Adams of Guernsey, who by chance happens to aqquire a book that once belonged to her, she begins a correspondence. Upon revealing that he is a member of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, her curiosity is piqued. As she begins receiving letters from other members with stories of life in Guernsey while under the German Occupation, Juliet decides to make the journey to meet these intruiging people in person. Once there, Juliet soon realises that the society is every bit as extraordinary as it's name and discovers much more than her new writing topic...
