Tolkien

The author of the legendary Novels The Lord of The Rings Trilogy and The Hobbit is brought back to life in Tolkien - exploring the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a fellow group of outcasts, leading him through School to World War I.

Nicholas Hoult (X-Men, Warm Bodies, The Favourite) embodies the young outcast writer as he navigates life with his fellow friends and writers. Their bond of fellowship grows through the years as they experience life together. As Tolkien meets the love of his life and later wife, Edith Bratt (Lily Collins - Love, Rosie; To the Bone; Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile) he finds inspiration for the character Luthien Tinuviel and ultimatley this inspiration lead to the Novels that are known worldwide today.
