This event is SOLD OUT.
As part of the London 2012 Olympic Games celebrations, Shetland Arts, Mark Kermode and Linda Ruth Williams invite you to join a cinematic journey like no other: a relay race of short films made by the public and shown on big screens from Shetland to Southampton.
Ninety minutes of short films will be screened, including those made by Shetlanders and by northeast England filmmakers. The films will travel around the UK, with relay “runners” carrying them between venues.
Come welcome the runner, watch the films and join us for a reception afterwards for a chat about the films.
“Hansel” is a Shetland word meaning “a gift given to commemorate an inaugural occasion, the launching of a new boat, birth of a child, a new home, a new enterprise”.
