THEATRE
Limbik Theatre: The Harbour

In Limbik's retelling of a selkie myth, a fisherman's life is overturned when he brings a seal-woman home from the sea.

Peter, a quiet, awkward fisherman, still lives at home with his acerbic and overbearing mother. One fateful night, he brings Sally, a seal-woman, home from the sea. As Sally grows into her life on land, their hopes and secrets catastrophically collide in this funny, moving, and visually striking retelling of a selkie myth.

This ‘masterclass in surreal storytelling’ (East Anglia Daily Press) uses simple staging, imaginative props and haunting live music to unearth an over-fished world filled with impossible desires.

Limbik creates new theatre work that explores human stories set in epic environments, combining innovative theatrical style with strong narrative craft. Winner of the Kreativni Cena (Creative Award), Prague Fringe 2010.
