Dementia Friendly Screening: High Society

The Maltings is proud to host a second season of monthly screenings tailored to the needs of those living with dementia, their families, friends and carers.

Everyone is welcome to join us for these relaxed screenings of specially selected film classics.

Jazz artist C.K. Dexter Haven is still hung up on his ex-wife and neighbor, socialite Tracy Samantha Lord, however Tracy is engaged to another man. Matters are complicated even further when a magazine reporter also winds up falling for the beautiful bride-to-be. As Tracy tries to decide on the ideal husband, each suitor works hard to convince her he is the best choice.

What to expect from a Dementia Friendly Screening:

Lights are left on lowsound levels are reduced, and it’s fine for customers to move around during the film.

All screenings take place in our Henry Travers Studio, with a combination of raked seating and chairs and tables on a level floor.

We won’t be showing trailers or adverts, so films start promptly at 2pm. Doors will open 20 minutes before, so there’s plenty of time to find a seat.

All screenings are priced at the reduced rate of £4.50 and carers tickets are free if the registered disabled person has applied for a CEA card HERE.
Cast: Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra
