Rocky Horror Comes to Maltings Cinema This Halloween

Dust off your corsets, dig out your fishnets and get ready to do the Time Warp, because The Rocky Horror Picture Show is coming to Maltings Cinema this Halloween — and this is definitely not going to be an ordinary night at the cinema.

On Friday 30 October, Maltings Cinema and our neighbours at The Straw Yard are joining forces for a gloriously outrageous evening of cocktails, costumes, rock ‘n’ roll and cult cinema.

Start the night at The Straw Yard

The evening begins at 6pm at The Straw Yard, where you can get fully into the Rocky Horror spirit before heading to the cinema.

Expect themed cocktails, rock ‘n’ roll and a high-energy party atmosphere — and, naturally, dressing up is very much encouraged. In fact, there’ll be prizes for the most spectacular, outrageous and dedicated costumes of the night.

So whether you’re channeling Frank-N-Furter, Janet, Brad, Magenta or creating a Rocky Horror character all of your own, now is the time to start planning that costume…

Then it’s time to do the Time Warp

At 8pm, make the short walk over to Maltings Cinema at Berwick Barracks for a special singalong screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

And when we say singalong, we mean it.

This is no ordinary cinema screening. Warm up those vocal cords, prepare to shout at the screen and embrace the wonderfully anarchic spirit of Rocky Horror. Audience participation isn’t just encouraged — it’s mandatory.

Whether you’ve been a Rocky Horror fan for decades or have never experienced the film on the big screen before, this is a chance to be part of the madness rather than simply sit back and watch.
