Project Manager required for the Berwick Sound, Waite and Sea Project

StrongBack Productions is looking for a part-time Project Manager with excellent organisational, communication and people skills, experience of managing heritage, participatory and/or education projects and understanding of finances and budgets.

The Project Manager will work 22 days overall or 4 half days pcm during January 2015 – November 2015 (11 months) in Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Alongside the Project Director, the Project manager will manage all activities, partners and participating groups linked to the 11 month music heritage project Waite and Sea comprising research, archiving, cataloguing and digitization of Berwick’s music heritage, alongside a programme of participative activities culminating with a one-day music festival in October 2015.

Responsibilities include:

•  Recruitment and management of volunteers with Berwick Records Office
•  Management of the project budget
•  Communication and management of three project leaders
•  Create and manage workshop schedules for project leaders and six participating music ensembles
•  Liaison between the Project Director and partners
•  Assisting the Project Director with the management of the one-day Waite and Sea festival.
•  Monthly budget and progress reports, monitoring and evaluation.

The fee for the role is £3,300 including travel expenses.
