Sensory Friendly Screenings
Our Sensory Friendly Screenings are relaxed cinema experiences designed to make enjoying a film more comfortable and accessible.
We understand that the traditional cinema environment – from loud sound and dark rooms to expectations around sitting quietly – doesn’t work for everyone. These screenings offer a more flexible and relaxed way to enjoy the big screen, whether you’re someone who benefits from a quieter environment, attending with a child, or simply prefer a more relaxed cinema experience.
What to expect
Low lighting
The lights are kept on at a low level throughout the film, rather than the auditorium being completely dark.
Lower sound levels
The film is played at a reduced volume for a gentler audio experience.
No trailers or adverts
There are no trailers before the film, so you can settle in and the film starts shortly after the advertised time.
Subtitles throughout
Subtitles are displayed for the whole film, making the dialogue easier to follow.
Move, make noise and take a break
There’s no expectation to sit still or remain quiet. Audience members are welcome to move around, make noise, leave and re-enter the auditorium, or take a break whenever they need to.
A relaxed atmosphere
Everyone is encouraged to enjoy the film in whatever way feels comfortable for them. There’s no need to worry about making noise or disturbing others – our Sensory Friendly Screenings are designed with this in mind.
