Is your child full of stories, ideas and imagination? Or perhaps they’re a little quieter and could do with a place to come out of their shell?
Maltings Youth Theatre is a fun, friendly and creative space where children aged 8–10 can explore theatre, make new friends and discover what they can do.
Across our weekly Saturday sessions, young people will play games, create characters, tell stories and experiment with performance – all while building confidence and developing their creativity.
No previous theatre experience is needed. Whether your child dreams of being centre stage or would rather start by joining in from the sidelines, there’s a place for them here.
More than just theatre
Maltings Youth Theatre gives young people the chance to:
- Build confidence – develop self-belief in a supportive, encouraging environment
- Make new friends – meet other young people from across Berwick and have fun together
- Get creative – use their imagination, explore ideas and create their own characters and stories
- Develop performance skills – learn about acting, movement, voice and working as part of an ensemble
- Find their voice – grow in confidence expressing themselves and sharing ideas
- Have fun – because theatre should be about playing, experimenting and enjoying yourself
