Inspired by the patterns and colour of the current Berwick’s Own Burrell Collection exhibition at the Granary Gallery, join celebrated artist Kate Colin for a Festive Folding workshop where you’ll be introduced to the wonderful art of origami and paper folding. During the class, you’ll be guided through the process of making a collection of stunning three-dimensional hanging and free-standing decorations using just a few simple folds. You will also make a beautiful string of origami Christmas lights to take home.
A wide choice of colourful and patterned paper will be provided as well as all the tools and materials you will need (including LED lights and batteries).
Hot drinks and a sandwich lunch will be provided as part of the day.
Suitable for all ages but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.
Maltings at Hide Hill is a new Cultural Resource Hub made possible by funding from Create Berwick, the Culture and Creative Zone (CCZ) funded by the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority and Northumberland County Council to support the growth of the cultural and creative industries in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
