The Joan Eardley: The Sea at Catterline catalogue accompanies the major exhibition at The Maltings, exploring Eardley’s powerful and expressive depictions of the sea and landscape around Catterline.
The catalogue features essays by Theo Albano, Director of The Fleming Collection and Dr Keava McMillan, Lecturer in Gender History at University of Glasgow, exploring Eardley’s distinctive approach to painting, drawing and capturing the changing character of the Scottish coast.
