Leave your mark on Lighthouse 200.
Join artist Claire Eason of Soul2Sand on Spittal Point Beach for a spectacular piece of sand art celebrating 200 years of Berwick Lighthouse and its enduring connection with the coastline.
Claire and her team will begin creating a Lighthouse 200 emblem in the sand, transforming the beach into a temporary artwork inspired by Berwick’s relationship with the sea.
Later in the day, you can become part of the artwork yourself.
Take part in one of our sand art sessions, where you’ll help create star constellations in the sand. Your contribution will become part of the finished Lighthouse 200 artwork – a temporary creation made by the community. The artwork will only last as long as the tide allows, making this a unique opportunity to see Lighthouse 200 celebrated on the very coastline the Lighthouse has watched over for 200 years.
