Commissions

Visual Arts

We regularly work with partners to support artists to develop their practice through commissioning new work for our theatre and gallery spaces, and for temporary and permanent installations throughout the town.

We also hope the work will reach new audiences, raise awareness of each artist, and potentially encourage the wider public and our peers to see Berwick in a new light.

Tim Etchells: Wait Here (Double Line), 2021.

We commissioned artist Tim Etchells to create a temporary installation for Berwick Barracks, with 2021 being the 300th anniversary of the Barracks opening and first being occupied by soldiers.
