At this event, poet, writer and critic, Omar Sabbagh, will discuss his published work, in different genres, dating from 2004 to the present.

The emphasis of his talk will be about the ways in which ‘all’ his writing, across distinct genres, is sourced primarily in his love of the English language itself, rather than (perhaps paradoxically) any particular beeline of urgent thematic content.

He will also read individual poems from his latest two books of poetry, Night Settles Upon the City (Daraja Press, Nov. 2024) and Gazan Days (Dar Nelson, June 2025).
