Jo Berry is an international speaker and founder of Building Bridges for Peace. After her father was killed by an IRA bomb in 1984, she began an extraordinary journey of reconciliation, meeting with the ex-combatant responsible and had become a global advocate for reconciliation.

Their ongoing dialogue, featured in the BBC’s Facing the Enemy and other films, embodies her belief in unbounded empathy as a path to peace. Her work has become a vital resource in peace studies and conflict transformation education globally.

Jo leads workshops on conflict resolution, becoming a positive changemaker and recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Initiatives of Change and a CBE for services to peace and reconciliation.
