The first session will be led by Martha Ellis, who will introduce design ideas and support students in developing their own concepts, participants are welcome to bring their own designs or choose from a selection provided.

From Monday 27 April onwards, sessions will be led by Cath Gowthorpe an experienced tutor who will guide you through key embroidery techniques including Bayeux stitch (laid work), stem stitch, and seeding, with additional stitches introduced if helpful to your individual project.

Over the course of the workshops, you will create a finished or nearly finished embroidered piece, working on a manageable yet rewarding size (either 9-inch square or 8 x 11 inches).
