Chorus of Things Workshop

Chorus of Things is a four-hour live action roleplay and sound-making workshop that will be led by artist Adam James. Through playful choreographic games and roleplay, participants will respond to vital, symbolic, or sacred things—creating living sculptures and collective soundscapes together. Come along and take part in making drawings, sounds, and recordings that propose a collective future voice, feeding into the wider project of Berwick Shines.

Participants will be led through the co-creation of a new language and an exploration of how we are shaped by the things that ultimately matter to us, and how these, in turn, take form within our lives. To take part, participants are invited to bring an “object of ultimate concern.” This could be anything you feel matters deeply to you—like a photograph, a tool, a keepsake, or even something ordinary that holds special meaning in your daily life.

No prior experience is needed—come as you are. The session involves movement ranging from gentle running and rolling to supporting each other’s weight, along with floor play and moments of silliness.
