I Swear tells the true story of Galashiels campaigner John Davidson’s difficult journey with Tourette Syndrome.

Diagnosed at 15 in the 1980s (a time when Tourette’s was rarely understood and often condemned) John’s early life was marked by trouble, from his teens through early adulthood. Alienated from both his peers and his family, Davidson fought for a ‘normal’ life against tremendous odds, eventually finding a few unlikely champions to back his relentless perseverance.
