To mark the 50th anniversary of L.S. Lowry’s death, Claire Stewart, Curator of The Lowry Collection at The Lowry, Salford, will explore Lowry’s career and reputation as one of Britain’s most popular artists, during his lifetime and beyond.
Claire Stewart has been Curator of The Lowry Collection at The Lowry in Salford since 2007 where her exhibitions have included Lowry and the Pre-Raphaelites and Unseen Lowry. Claire previously worked as Senior Exhibitions Officer at National Museums Liverpool and as Keeper of Art at Towneley Hall Art Gallery & Museums.
