We are delighted that Jen Wood will be running a half term workshop for families where you can enter into an imaginative underwater world in a hands-on creative workshop.
Children and parents can make their own sea creature masks, costumes, and wearable ocean-inspired accessories together.
The workshop is designed with flexible making options suitable for different ages and skill levels. Younger children can create simple sea creature masks and decorated headbands, while older children and adults can experiment with more detailed costume elements including layered scales, fins, wearable accessories, and decorated t-shirts. Families can collaborate on shared creations or work individually.
Activities may include:
· Sea creature masks and headbands
· Costume embellishments using scales, fins, barnacles, shells, and textured materials
· Ocean-themed t-shirt decorating
· Umbrella jellyfish creations using hanging ribbons and recycled materials
The session encourages playful experimentation, collaborative making, and imaginative storytelling while introducing simple costume and prop-making techniques.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
