Join us on Spittal Promenade from 12pm – 3pm for a joyful community picnic as we gather to bid a fond farewell to our strange new friends before they return to the sea.
Over the weekend of 30th-31st May, these strange and wonderful arrivals from the sea have become part of daily life – appearing along the shoreline, sparking curiosity, and bringing moments of surprise, connection and play to the town. Now, as their time with us comes to an end, we’re coming together to send them off in style as they make their return to the water.
Bring your family and friends, pack a picnic, and settle in for a relaxed afternoon by the coast. If you fancy getting into the spirit, come dressed in your best seaside or clown-inspired outfit and be part of the celebration.
