Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

Main House Theatre  |  Friday 7 & Thursday 13 June

(12A)

Many years after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes and Caesar’s reign, the apes emerge from their oasis and become the dominant species, living harmoniously with the humans who have regressed and live in the shadows.

Conflict arises when tyrannical ape Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand) goes against the teachings of peace and coexistence left by Caesar, and enslaves other clans and forges weapons from human technology. Young ape Noa (Owen Teague) undertakes a harrowing journey alongside a human girl named Mae (Freya Allan), which causes him to question everything he has been taught about the past, and what he needs to do that will define a future for apes and humans alike.

Director Wes Ball gives new life to the epic franchise’s fourth installment, following on from War of the Planet of the Apes (2017). The film stars Owen Teague alongside Freya Allan, Peter Macon, Dichen Lachman, Kevin Durand, and William H. Macy.
